Top Employers 2025 | The Most Admired Companies to Apply to in 2026
Top Employers Hungary: the ranking of the best workplaces is also available by industry for the first time
The wherewework.hu workplace review and career platform has published its Top Employers Hungary ranking for the fourth time this year, which is based exclusively on the opinions of former and current employees. The independent list highlights in a uniquely credible way the companies that represent the most employee-focused, supportive, and value-driven workplace cultures in Hungary today.
wherewework has presented the latest ranking showcasing the most attractive Hungarian employers of 2025. The compilation shows how employee expectations are changing and which organizations have been able to respond to them most effectively. This year’s results also reflect the current state of the labor market: those companies have reached the top that are able to create a safe, predictable, and growth-oriented environment for their employees.
The goal of Top Employers wherework Hungary is to make the Hungarian labor market more transparent and to provide a realistic picture of where employees can find genuine appreciation, opportunities for development, and a people-centered way of operation. The list is not only a recognition for the awarded companies but also serves as a guide for all those who wish to build or choose a sustainable and authentic workplace culture in the long term.
A novelty of this year is that, for the first time in the history of the ranking, the results are also available by industry. This helps employees more easily compare leading employers across different sectors and provides a reliable reference point for the HR profession in evaluating corporate cultures. The overall results primarily reflect general employee satisfaction, while also taking into account factors such as pay and benefits, development opportunities, work-life balance, leadership practices, and corporate culture and values.

Leading employers today are those who build community and stability
This year’s ranking reflects the shift in what employees value. While salary and position once played the central role, today many people are increasingly seeking workplaces where they receive genuine attention, psychological safety and the opportunity to learn and grow. Stability, community and supportive leadership have become key drivers of employee commitment - and these qualities are clearly visible among this year’s top-ranked organizations.

“Employees today are looking for workplaces where they are truly seen and where they can grow. The best employers do not demonstrate this through promises, but through how they operate every single day. At wherewework, we make the labour market more transparent by providing real, verified and publicly accessible employee reviews, so it becomes clear where culture is not just communicated, but genuinely lived. With the introduction of industry rankings this year, it will be possible to compare for the first time which companies are able to maintain a sustainable people-centered culture under the different operating conditions of different sectors" - said Costin Tudor, CEO wherewework.
Our people shape our culture – Erste Bank takes the top position
“It is a great honour to receive the Top Employer award this year. We value this recognition especially because it is based on the feedback of our current and former colleagues. Our culture is built around our people. Their well-being and satisfaction are one of the foundations of our strategy, and their insights continuously shape how we operate every day. This award confirms that we are on the right path: Erste is a workplace where everyone can feel valued, appreciated and motivated, where they can thrive – where Monday is not something we have to get through to reach Friday” - Dr. Krisztina Mihók, HR Director, Erste Bank.
