Rheinmetall Hungary Munitions Zrt., a member of the Rheinmetall Group, is looking for a highly qualified Plant Manager for its new factory in Várpalota. As Plant Manager, you will be the driving force behind daily operations and long-term progress. You will lead and coordinate different departments –Production, Maintenance, HSE, Supply Chain and Security -ensuring all aspects of the plant function smoothly, safely and efficiently. Your leadership will influence how we grow and collaborate. You will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Build further and lead daily operations, including production, maintenance, logistics, purchasing, production engineering, security and HSE
- Steer the plant toward excellence in output, efficiency and reliability
- Drive strategic projects - from energy optimization to infrastructure upgrades and own them from idea to excecution
- Prepare and make critical decisions that shape performance, reduce cost, and ensure compliance
- Negotiate and collaborate with suppliers, contractors, authorities or other 3rd parties to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships
- Develop, implement and lead waste handling systems and initiatives that improve sustaniability and environmental performance
- Cover the gaps in operational processes and efficiency, introducing new ideas where possible
- Organisation and coordination of infrastructure supply, such as electricity contracts, water etc., including contract negotiations with suppliers
- Securing and continuously optimising the operational business – including personnel planning and budget planning and control, and, in the event of deviations, defining and pursuing measures until the targets are achieved
- Coordination of the company's fleet containing floor conveyers, trucks, special vehicles and others with the respective suppliers
- Definiton and reporting of all operations and facility management-related KPI’s
- Ensuring compliance with defined quality standards and initiating measures in the event of deviations from the target; defining quality standards for the area of
responsibility. Building a culture of safety, accountability and performance across all departments - Lead, develop and insipre your team creating alignment and ownership at every level
- Be one of the main interfaces to the Joint Venture Partner and authorities with regard to daily/operational business
- A degree in engineering, industrial management, environmental science, or other related filed
- 5+ years of proven experience in plant or operations management, preferably in a leadership role
- Solid background in project management, with a track record of delivering results under pressure
- Deep understanding of operations processes, infrastructure and regulatory compliance
- Skilled negotiator and relationship builder, comfortable working with public and private stakeholders
- Acting strategical with a hands-on mindset and the confidence to lead from the front
- Fluent, business level language knowledge in English and Hungarian
- Ability to make decisions under pressure, without losing sight of the big picture
