Drive logistics at scale. Lead the future of sustainable transportation with Coca-Cola HBC. We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Transportation Lead to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Hungary. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring our products reach customers and partners efficiently, reliably, and with a growing focus on sustainability. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how Coca-Cola HBC delivers value across the country – from central warehouses to retail partners, depots, and direct customers – through a mix of owned fleet and trusted third-party providers.
The Role
- Overseeing end-to-end road transportation operations across Hungary, managing both full truckload (FTL) distribution and direct store deliveries (DSD).
- Leading a diverse team of professionals including dispatchers and logistics coordinators to ensure smooth, daily execution of deliveries.
- Managing the internal fleet operations (trucks and light fleet), collaborating with external logistics partners to optimize performance and service levels.
- Supervising the operation of a nationwide depot network run by service providers, ensuring alignment with our distribution strategy.
- Coordinating domestic and import transportation activities, with a focus on regional Coca-Cola HBC flows.
- Supporting the transition to a greener fleet and contributing to our long-term sustainability goals.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating closely with key 3PL partners.
Expectations
- 5+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics or freight forwarding, ideally with exposure to both internal operations and external partners.
- Experience with budget responsibility for logistics operations, with a strong sense of cost control and value delivery.
- A solid understanding of service provider dynamics and experience in working with large 3PLs or fleet operations.
- Agility, proactivity, and collaborative leadership style, able to motivate teams and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidently in fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to combine a strategic mindset with hands-on problem solving and you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed.
