Role Purpose:
The Sustainability & ESG Regulatory Manager is responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with national and EU-level packaging waste recovery and recycling regulations. This role is integral to our sustainability efforts and compliance with packaging waste regulations. This role covers also operational implementation of packaging recovery systems, performance tracking, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to optimize overall environmental impact.
YOUR NEW TASKS:
- Coordinates the companies' advocacy strategy on environmental, packaging and sustainability topics
- sustainability regulatory framework (including but not limited to packaging environment legislation)
- Acts as spokesperson of the company or industry in front of all relevant stakeholders on environmental, packaging and sustainability topics.
- Coordination of internal activities related to sustainability projects
- Acts as a point of contact between the external environment (associations, authorities, DRS system administrator,) and the internal cross-functional team from Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial and Legal departments
- Defines and implements the local strategy transposing the group’s sustainability roadmap and commitments
- Integrates the elements related to the sustainability & waste management policy into the companies' internal procedures
- #NETzeroby40 overarching decarbonization strategy
- Collaboration with the Public & Regulatory Affairs Manager, Customer Partnership Manager, Community Partnership Manager, Corporate Communication and Coca-Cola HBC Central team in the implementation of Sustainability projects
- Leads the external advocacy efforts and strategically designs the internal policy for ESG related legislation compliance with focus but not limited to PPWR, Circular Economy Act, CSRD, CS3D, EU Taxonomy, Green Claims Directive, Water Resilience Strategy
ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
- Min. 3 years in Corporate Affairs & Sustainability
- Min. 1 year of cross-functional team/project management experience
- University degree preferred in political science, communication, environmental/sustainable development, management, economics
- Deep understanding of stakeholders and public views, market trends and practices, local and EU legislation with regards to community policy/ESG/sustainability communications
- Mastery communication skills – public speaking trainings and/or relevant expertise; presentation skills and ability to speak to wide audiences
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
- Networking, collaboration and influencing skills
- Customer centric mindset and good understanding of their related interests in sustainability
- Ability to design value-creating opportunities/sustainability projects based on business and financial acumen
- Business & Financial acumen
- Drive to make an impact, track record of achievements
- Strong project management & negotiations skills
- Very good command of oral and written English
