The Maintenance and Spare Parts Manager is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities and the spare parts inventory within our water and CSDs production plant. This role ensures the efficient and reliable operation of all plant equipment, minimizes downtime, and optimizes maintenance costs through effective planning, scheduling, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record in managing maintenance teams and spare parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance Management:
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of all production and utility equipment (e.g., filling lines, packaging machinery, blow molding machines, water treatment systems, HVAC, electrical systems).
- Oversee and coordinate corrective maintenance activities efficiently and effectively to minimize production downtime.
- Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols.
- Monitor equipment performance, analyze failure data, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and reduce recurring issues.
- Manage and supervise the maintenance team, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Production, Quality, Engineering, HSE ) to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
- Manage external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to equipment maintenance and safety.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
- Track and report on key maintenance metrics (e.g., uptime, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance costs).
- Spare Parts Management:
- Develop and implement a robust spare parts inventory management system to ensure the availability of critical components while minimizing inventory costs.
- Identify critical spare parts and establish appropriate stock levels based on equipment criticality, lead times, and historical data.
- Manage the procurement process for spare parts, including vendor selection, negotiation, and order placement, in coordination with the purchasing department.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory, including receipt, storage, and issuance.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify obsolete or slow-moving items.
- Implement strategies for optimizing spare parts storage and organization.
- Develop and maintain a list of approved vendors for spare parts and maintenance services.
- Monitor spare parts consumption and implement measures to reduce waste and optimize usage.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of spare parts.
ARE THSES YOUR SECERET INGRIDENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (10 years+) in maintenance management and spare parts management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry (water and CSDs experience is highly desirable).
- Strong technical knowledge of production machinery, electrical systems, automation, and utilities relevant to the beverage industry.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Experience in managing and leading a team of maintenance technicians.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.

- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is highly preferred.
