The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the organization's business needs while adhering to cloud architecture standards. This role focuses on leveraging infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to automate cloud deployments, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and scalability. The Cloud Architect works within the broader cloud adoption framework to ensure that cloud services are delivered in a secure, cost-effective manner, while supporting business growth. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, this role ensures that cloud solutions integrate seamlessly into existing IT infrastructures and meet performance, security, and compliance standards. The Cloud Architect is also responsible for ensuring that the cloud infrastructure is resilient and flexible enough to support future innovation.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design cloud solutions based on business requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to design cloud solutions that align with the enterprise’s cloud adoption framework, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
Design Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Use tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) to automate cloud infrastructure deployments, ensuring consistent, reliable, and scalable cloud environments.
Ensure cloud security and compliance: Design and implement cloud security measures, ensuring that solutions comply with industry regulations and internal governance frameworks (e.g., ISO, GDPR).
Develop standardized cloud solutions: Create reusable cloud architectures and templates that can be standardized across projects, reducing complexity and improving deployment speed.
Support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD): Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate cloud solutions into automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring faster, more reliable deployments.
Provide technical expertise on cloud service selection: Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and architectures (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices) based on business and technical requirements.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
Cloud Solution Design: Expertise in designing end-to-end cloud solutions that meet business and technical requirements, with a focus on automation, scalability, and security. Familiarity with both hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Skilled in deploying cloud infrastructure using automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure Resource Manager), ensuring consistent and reliable cloud environments.
Cloud Security and Compliance: Proficient in designing cloud solutions that adhere to strict security and compliance standards, ensuring that data and applications are protected in the cloud.
Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Knowledgeable in integrating cloud solutions into CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and automated cloud deployments.
Cloud Resource Optimization: Strong understanding of optimizing cloud resources (e.g., compute, storage) to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising performance or availability.
Collaboration Across Cloud Teams: Ability to work closely with DevOps, cloud engineers, and product teams to design, develop, and implement cloud infrastructure that aligns with business goals.
Technical Proficiency in Cloud Technologies: Strong knowledge of cloud services and platforms (e.g., Azure Kubernetes, other containers, and serverless compute) to design cloud-native applications.
